Oh, the King is in much distress. The crystal mines of Snowmelt Pass have collapsed under a great earthquake. These mines were the primary source of funds for the royal coffers, and it's all in disarray now!

Our King has an engagement with the high Lord of Runswick to discuss a potential alliance. They are to meet for a hunt in neutral grounds, and Wolfden Brook has been chosen.

Though it seems the river recently flooded and devastated the lodge there, so it must be rebuilt.

And watch out for wolves. It wasn't named Wolfden Brook for nothing. Well actually it was, there was no wolf den there when it was named, but the wolves moved in later. It was quite the coincidence.

The King is nearly done with his vacation, and next on the schedule is second vacation.

He wishes to visit his elder aunt in Frostbite Dale, but the accommodations there aren't nearly suitable for the entire royal entourage.

We'll need at least thirty bedrooms, four kitchens, eight sitting rooms, six reading rooms, eleven dining rooms, three thinking rooms, and uh... how many bathrooms do you imagine?

The holidays are coming, and the King wishes to spend his vacation in the Briskwind Hills. I tried to tell him he already owns several winter chalets, but he insisted on building a new one.

The taxpayers won't be happy about this. But that's why we're not going to tell them!

A new cave full of rare ether stone has been discovered in the Smoghill Mountains. Terribly difficult to get to, very high up the cliffside.

Apparently, ether stone has some rather magical healing properties, and people will pay a hefty sum to spend the night near it. So the King wishes for us to build lodgings near the stones.

Unfortunately that means hanging it from the roof of the caverns. You're not afraid of heights are you?

The royal seers have seen a vision: a hidden treasure of great value in Knotbog Swamp. His majesty is sending a team to the swamp to excavate, but no one lives in the area. They need somewhere to stay during the excavation. You're to go ahead of the team and build an inn for them. Something... befitting of a swamp.

The King has taken quite an interest in astronomy of late. Even bought himself a telescope. Trouble is he can't see much through the clouds, so he's requested we build him a new citadel at the highest point in the kingdom. That would be Cloudtop Rock. Good luck getting the construction materials up there.

War is imminent. At least if you believe the King's military advisors. They postulate that the black pirate Bellamy means to attack Port Cragstone, and the eastern entrance is entirely unguarded! We've been tasked with building an impenetrable drawbridge to protect the passage.
